POCUS – what do you need to know

Time : 7pm CET | Duration : 30mn
Chair : Alexandros Makris 🇬🇷
Speaker : Laurent Delaunay 🇫🇷

Question :
Why do I need to buy a cardiac probe for my ultrasound machine in addition to the linear and abdominal ones?

The objectives of this session are to show, with the help of examples and literature data, the interest of ultrasound for anaesthesiologists outside the regional anaesthesia and vascular access areas of intervention. The Point Of Care UltraSound (POCUS) enables rapid diagnosis in various critical perioperative situations. Anaesthesiologists must be able to realize and interpret a number of whole body ultrasound images:

  • Cardiac
  • Lung
  • Gastric
  • Abdominal FAST
  • Bladder
  • Airway

Target :

  • Anaesthesiologists
  • Residents of anaesthesiology
  • Emergency doctors with and without ultrasound experience outside of regional anaesthesia and vascular punctures

The replay will be available on the ESRA Academy for members only.
