Chronic pain in children can have a great impact on their life and is an underestimated problem by professionals (pediatricians, general anaesthesiologists, adult pain specialists) and in medical training.
This can result in diagnostic uncertainty for patient and parents  with unnecessary diagnostic tests and an unsatisfactory treatment trajectory.
Treatment should be interdisciplinary in a specialized pediatric pain center and available in every country in Europe.
