WDRAPM 2026 – Global Impact, Real Engagement

The World Day of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (#WDRAPM) 2026 once again demonstrated the global strength, diversity, and unity of the regional anesthesia and pain medicine community.

This year’s edition reached an impressive 26,000 participants worldwide, with activities spanning 78 countries and 194 cities, confirming #WDRAPM as a truly global educational and awareness initiative.

Beyond participation, #WDRAPM 2026 delivered a strong and unified scientific programme, including 14 pre-recorded expert lectures and podcasts5 dedicated sessions on Public Health and Equity, and 4 live international events streamed online, complemented by a global educational quiz challenge.

Digital engagement further amplified the impact of the initiative, with over 15,000 website views (7,000 unique users)and 162,000 social media content views, reflecting sustained interest and interaction across platforms.

On digital platforms, the event generated 8,000 YouTube views, reflecting meaningful engagement with the educational content. This included 2,000 views from on-demand pre-recordings, alongside strong participation in live sessions streamed from multiple centres: Paris (1,525 views), Newcastle (1,086 views), Canterbury (908 views), and Hull (747 views). The Live Quiz Challenge also attracted significant attention, reaching 1,945 views.

A major highlight was the #WDRAPM 2026 Interactive Quiz, which attracted a large number of participants, testing knowledge across regional anesthesia, acute and chronic pain, and patient safety. The enthusiasm and engagement were outstanding, reflecting the community’s commitment to continuous learning.
