Following our previous communication, and in the light of the specific overall situation we are still experiencing with COVID – 19, we would like to inform you that the ESRA Board has concluded that it would not be compliant with ESRA responsibilities to hold on the event inside 2020. Particularly, merely postponing it to a later date in the current year would entail the risk of having to reschedule and/or reshape the meeting once again, with considerable organizational, financial and reputational disadvantages for all parties involved.
ESRA Board has also decided that the ESRA Annual Congress of 2021 will take place in June 23rd – 26th 2021, in Thessaloniki, Greece. More detailed information on the Annual Congress of next year will follow, as soon as all relevant decisions are consolidated.
Please kindly note that the information provided at the ESRA 2020 Annual Congress website (https://esra-congress.com/) is not valid anymore, and its content will be ammended soon. Registration fees of delegates who have already registered for the 2020 Annual Congress will be refunded in full and all individuals concerned will be contacted by ESRA Office accordingly. Regarding already submitted abstracts, after their evaluation by ESRA Abstract Committe, ESRA Office will contact you very soon to update you how and when these will be presented.
We apologize for any inconvenience our decisions may pose, hoping that we can count on your commitment, understanding and flexibility. Also, please keep in mind that ESRA is making every effort to address your questions and concerns, and is readily available for any necessary support.
On behalf of ESRA Board, we wish you and your families to keep strong and stay safe,
Alain Delbos, ESRA President
