NEW for ESRA members !

ESRA, in collaboration with USabcd ApS (Denmark), offers an exclusive educational benefit for ESRA members.

Experience the USabcd e-learning concept and gain practical knowledge in Regional Anaesthesia and Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) to support clinical decision-making in critical, emergency, and perioperative care.

USabcd was founded by clinicians from Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark:

  • Thomas Fichtner Bendtsen, pioneer in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia
  • Erik Sloth, developer of the FATE protocol for focused cardiac ultrasound
  • Lars Knudsen, clinician, educator, and developer with a focus on implementation and global dissemination

Together, they share a common vision:
to promote the global dissemination of clinically relevant ultrasound as a natural part of everyday clinical practice.

The USabcd learning concept combines:

  • Structured, high-quality e-learning
  • With focused, hands-on workshops (1–2 days)
to ensure maximum clinical relevance and learning outcome.

The e-learning curriculum includes:

  • Regional Anaesthesia
  • Cardiac, lung, airway, and gastric ultrasound
  • Vascular access
