ESRA Community Manager

The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA), a non-profit international scientific society based in Switzerland over 8500 members around the world, is seeking a talented and versatile Community Manager to join its team.

The objectives of ESRA include the study, promotion, education, and training of techniques for local and regional anaesthesia and acute or chronic pain management and encouraging scientific research and the dissemination of information. ESRA organises congresses, events, workshops, examinations, publishes scientific works, and encourages research regarding this medical discipline. Its annual congress is taking place once a year usually beginning of September in a different European country every year.

Job description:

The Community Manager is responsible for all social media communication, for the website updates and the organization of the ESRA webinars. He or she is the liaison between ESRA and the designer. He or she creates promotional material for events or activities including videos.

Key responsibilities:

  • Social media communication: content creation, post and moderate followers’ reactions and organisation of activities reports on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and others
  • Preparation of mailshots:
    – Management, update and increase database in MailChimp
    – Preparation of designs in MailChimp
    – Creation of follow-up reports
  • Websites management:
    – ESRA Academy and ESRA Europe
    – Newsletter: contents coordination
    – Banners creation
  • Organisation of events together with the Events Manager:
    – Management of the events mailbox together with the Events Manager
    – Booth management during the ESRA annual congress and other meetings when needed
  • Videos creation and editing
  • Organisation and full management of ESRA webinars
  • Management of online surveys
  • Communication with the designer for the creation of promotional material including: Journal ads, congress or events ads, roll-ups, brochures, flyers and other material when needed.

Qualifications & Experience Levels:

  • Degree in communication or similar education
  • Strong proficiency in community management, social media management, and content creation
  • Comfortable working with MailChimp, managing databases, and creating campaigns
  • Website management skills (WordPress)
  • Video editing skills (Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut or similar)
  • Design skills (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SurveyMonkey
  • Good understanding of and interest in the social media universe.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Good presentation skills
• Willingness to travel.
